Child Safety and CSAE Prevention Policy

relayts UG (haftungsbeschränkt), the operator of the VANATU application (“VANATU”), is committed to ensuring a safe online environment and upholding its obligations under applicable European Union laws, including the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and relevant national laws addressing the prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

1. Age Restriction

VANATU is strictly limited to users aged 18 years and older. We actively monitor compliance with this policy, and accounts suspected of violating our minimum age requirement are subject to review and removal.

2. Detection and Prevention of CSAE Content

While VANATU is not intended for minors, we implement appropriate and proportionate measures to detect and prevent the presence or dissemination of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any form of CSAE content. These include:

  • Automated moderation tools to detect illegal or harmful material

  • Human moderation to review flagged or reported content

  • Immediate removal of any content that violates these standards

3. Reporting Mechanism

Users can report violations of our Community Standards — including suspected CSAM or CSAE — via the in-app report function available on user profiles and content items. Reported content is reviewed promptly and may be escalated to the appropriate national or international authorities, as required by law.

4. Cooperation with Authorities

relayts UG (haftungsbeschränkt) maintains protocols for collaborating with competent law enforcement and child protection authorities. Confirmed incidents involving CSAM or CSAE are reported without delay to designated authorities, including where applicable:

  • INHOPE-affiliated hotlines

  • National police or child protection units within the EU

We comply with mandatory reporting obligations under EU and national laws.

5. Staff Awareness and Escalation

Our internal team is trained to identify, assess, and escalate reports related to CSAE. Reports flagged under potential CSAM or abuse indicators receive priority review and are handled in accordance with applicable legal standards and ethical responsibilities.
